In preparation for Earth Day {Thursday, April 22}, here are some Coquettish suggestions on things to do, buy, enjoy, and recycle.

HAVE TO HAVE

  • Baggu makes lightweight and environmentally friendly shopping sacks. They come in a variety of colors and patterns. They fold up neatly into a storage pouch and the heavy duty ripstop nylon can hold alot. Baggu can be purchased at a variety of retailers: endless.com, Amazon.com and even Neiman Marcus.
  • Try a new eco-friendly water bottle like Bobble.  Sleek styling makes being eco-friendly tre Coquette.  You can fill your bottle up anywhere because the filter is in the cap!  Even better is the price, at $9.95 each, you can afford to buy one for the office and gym.
  • Purchase Aveda’s Light the Way Candle and 100% of the proceeds will go to support Global Greengrant’s Fund water related projects.
  • Parducci is a America’s first 100% Carbon Neutral Winery offering sustainable wines starting at $10.99 a bottle.
  • Gorgeous, organic, and gives you a buzz – try Rain Organics Vodka. This vodka is perfect for your next cocktail party - Made from 100% organic white corn and delightfully infused with things like lavender, honey, and hibiscus.

  • Bring in your own tumbler and save $0.10 on your Starbucks beverage.
  • Find a local “green” dry cleaner here.
