Spring, Coquettish style

By Coquettish in Fashion

Adjusting our Coquettish clocks to spring forward is inspiring us to browse for fun, fresh and colorful fashions.  With so much to look forward to: floral dresses, bold accessories and a delicious array of sandals, we need to find ways to justify our shopping to our husbands.  Statements like “Honey, it was on sale!” or “They aren’t the same as the other pair, those are black patent!” will only get us so far.

Thanks to the fabulous windows of our favorite stores featuring fun things like pinwheels at Kate Spade and delightful wedding collections at J. Crew , we can write our shopping addiction off as Coquettish research!

Better yet, we can prove shopping does get the creative juices flowing.  Stay tuned for our upcoming May wedding – where one of our very own brides will feature a ceremony setup that is inspired by an Anthropologie window.  Sorry!  No spoilers here.

But, we won’t leave you totally hanging.  In the next few weeks, we will be sharing some great finds with our faithful Coquettish readers.  Each week we will showcase a new look based on an inspiring trend or item of the season.  The goal is to create the entire look with items that are each under $100.

Our first look is all about transitioning into spring.  Here is a work-appropriate outfit to get you geared up for the fresh season. We love the splash of color and embellished sandal, paired down with a classic blazer.  Just in case open-toe shoes are a no-no at your office, we have included a substitute – a metallic flat that can also be dressed up or down with what is already hanging in your Coquettish closet.
