With Easter right around the corner {April 4th}, I was feeling nostalgic this weekend and decided to dye Easter eggs while my husband was immersed in March Madness.
It was harder than I remember since I’m more critical about the pretty factor now, but overall the project was fairly easy and fun.
I went to the local drug store and picked up some kiddie sized dye kits and tried to use some different decorating techniques.
* I wrapped the eggs with rubber bands, then dipped in dye. I also tried wrapping the eggs in lace, but it didn’t turn out quite right because the dye seeped through.
* I used tape to create stripes & letters. But why stop there? Consider the same technique, using shaped stickers.
* Writing on the eggs with a wax crayon before dipping in dye allowed for a great way to personalize eggs for the little ones, or to use as seating cards for Easter brunch.
* Glitter eggs came out fun and flirty, but be prepared – it’s messy!
This was not only a fun way to celebrate Easter, but a creative way to personalize a Red Egg & Ginger Party. Any new mommies out there, let us know if you need any help adding some style to the traditional plain red eggs!

I love this!
Cute idea, especially for spicing up red-egg ginger parties!
