A Hello Kitty Inspired Birthday Party

By Coquettish in Events

Every little girl loves Hello Kitty, right? I mean, who can resist the adorable cat with her perfectly placed bow and charming expression. So, when we were asked back in April to plan a third birthday party for a special little girl, we knew Hello Kitty would be the perfect theme!

We decorated the backyard with a DIY birthday banner and custom made tablecloths and runners. A DIY wreath of recycled plastic bottles greeted the guests. The little guests received custom made favor bags filled with Hello Kitty goodies.

Dessert was another area of emphasis at the party. A very dear friend of Coquette’s made all of the delicious treats for the party. Guests could not stop raving about how beautiful everything looked – it was almost too good to eat. After we sang Happy Birthday to the guest of honor, we couldn’t resist any longer and we dug into the desserts. Delicious!! On the menu:

- red velvet and vanilla mini-cupcakes
- Hello Kitty chocolate
- apple pie pops
- chocolate ganache brownies

To keep the kids occupied, we had a variety of activities lined up for them:

- bubble machines
- Hello Kitty coloring pages
- Pin the Bow on Hello Kitty
- crown decorating
- cupcake decorating
- face painting
- DIY photo backdrop complete with props (including an almost life size plush Hello Kitty doll)

A big big thank you to Coquette’s new intern and our baker – this party wouldn’t have been nearly as special and unique without you.

Happy 3rd Birthday V!!!
