Anthropologie, a favorite store of Coquettish, has announced that they will be introducing a bridal line in Spring 2011. Yes, you read correctly. According to Lucky, the retailer will launch a wedding website as well as stores in select cities. The line will feature heirloom wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, accessories and gifts. “We have found that many brides-to-be are inspired by our aesthetic,” Anthropologie co-president Wendy B. McDevitt said in a statement. “We will unveil a brand that addresses this very special moment in her life with a goal of exceeding her expectations.” Wedding gowns will range in price from $750 to $5,000, while bridesmaid dresses will start at $200.
We here at Coquettish have often been inspired by their clothing, accessories and their installations. (In fact, one of Jamie’s bridesmaid dresses was purchased at Anthropologie.) Their style is chic and modern yet it also has a vintagey/boho feel. Their attention to detail is exquisite as evidenced by their to-die for accessories that make every woman want to pile on their baubbles ala Elizabeth Taylor. Their success is clearly evidenced by the fact that they are able to appeal to such a wide range of styles.
As we patiently wait for the first glimpse of this coveted line, we’ll leave you with a few of their newest wedding worthy frocks. These would be adorable for engagement pictures, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners or any fabulous party you’re attending. { all images courtesy of Anthropologie }
