Welcome to Jake’s Cove: A Sponge Bob Inspired 2nd Birthday Party

A few months ago one of our Mommy clients came to us wanting to throw her Sponge-Bob-loving-darling an at home pool party for his 2nd birthday. Our challenge was, how do we elevate Sponge Bob but still make it kid friendly and stay within Daddy’s budget??

We decided to splurge on decorations that would make an impact and keep the food tasty but still have an assortment.

FOOD
- Fresh sushi from Bikini Bottom was rolled and served by a hired sushi chef. He comes to your venue and brings everything, including a fish fridge!
- Grilled delights from the Krusty Krab included burgers and ribs.
- An assortment of dips were on display.
- After a few hours of swimming and activities the Sponge Bob cake made it’s debut – accessorized with plenty of candles and all of Sponge Bob’s pals.
- We also served homemade flan from Grandma and candy coated pretzels.

ACTIVITIES
Face painting
Balloon making
Bubble station
Coloring supplies were scattered throughout the house

DECOR
- A casted fish net with sea creatures like starfish, crab, lobsters, and seahorses along with a handmade “Jake’s Cove” sign welcomed the guests. (When Jake came down in the morning, his first word was: “Crabby?”)
- Using luau themed items we created a fun beachy environment. To keep it kiddie, the children ate on Sponge Bob plates and sipped with pineapple straws.
- Guests donned leis that were passed out
- Sponge Bob balloons
- Pineapples on tables
- Favors of Sponge Bob color-a-cookie along with bag

The party was a huge success and kids young and old had a great time.
